MILK BARN VIST
On the 23rd of January we went to the Milk Barn in Falkirk.  We saw the milking parlour and the tank that the milk is stored in. Then we saw the cows and where the feed is kept.
Their feed was soya from the USA, barley, silage and straw bales.  Some calves were in the cages like little huts for the winter. Then we went over the road to the milk barn cafe. When we got to the cafe we got to see the ice cream maker. We went inside and got some free ice cream it was yummy. Then we went outside and played.

Burns Day

On the 27th of January 2017 the school had a Burns Day Celebration. Primary 1-7 practised some poems to say in the morning. Each class had a winner the winners were Sam, Thomas and Hannah. On the Monday the whole school went to visit the Blair Drummond Blethers. We sang two songs they were called, Mari’s Wedding and the Jeely piece song. The winners performed their poems for everyone.

Global Goals

Global Goals

Last week Miss Campbell led an assembly about Global Goals.
There are 17 goals altogether and the last one is to achieve all the
goals as a team. The leaders of the goals want to try and achieve
the goals by 2030. We are going to be learning more about the goals
throughout our topics. P1 - 4's topic is Malawi and P5 - 7's                               topic is water.

Please have a look at a clip we have used as part of our introduction to Global Goal's.

Our Topics

P1-4 project is Malawi. We are looking at what their school looks like and what our school looks like. There are a lot more differences than things that are the same. Yesterday we where looking at some photos of things in Malawi and people doing stuff.  We asked  questions about what they were doing. P5-7 are doing water and things about the global goals. We made our own village called Usige Valley and each made a character  and our own houses. In our groups we drew floats designed them and painted them and made a water dance. All of our characters had 2 jobs a water job and an everyday job. We have also done some drama and acting. We are all having fun acting out our characters.

Cross Country

On the 7th of February some pupils from our school are going to  cross country.
They are representing our school and hopefully  they will do well. Two of our P6s have gone ( Sholto and Thomas ) and they have to run a mile at the Queen Victoria School in Dunblane. They will be coming back and telling us all about it.
